About Dr Dababrata Chowdhury
Dr Dababrata Chowdhury, BSc(Com-Eng) DipLT,PgCAP,MBA,PhD.
Dr Chowdhury is a lecturer in Entrepreneurship at University Campus Suffolk(UCS).He graduated from the Department of Computer Science & Engineering at Hacettepe University in Turkey and completed his Masters of Business Administration (MBA) and PhD at Plymouth Business School. His PhD work involves examining the importance of Knowledge Transfer and Networking to the development of SMEs in Turkey.
His teaching interest is International Business, Entrepreneurship, Knowledge Management and Marketing. His research interest is small and medium-sized business development/growth in new product develops with Collaborations (Networks-Knowledge Transfer) and adoption of new technologies. The collaborations between firms, universities and investors in the clusters located in emerging markets/network relationships in nationally and internationally and finally, analysing the importance of trust for KT mechanisms in different SMEs nationally and internationally.
He received Community Research Awards 2011/12 from University Plymouth .He is a regional Coordinator of the International Strategic Management group in Turkey and Editorial board member for Journal of Global Strategic Management. He is an editor for South Asian Society magazine called “Celebration”. He can speak and communicate with Bengali, English, Turkish, Urdu, Kazakh and Hindi languages. He is a member of five professional organisations, including the British Academy of Management (BAM) and The Institute for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ISBE). In addition, he is a visiting lecturer and PhD external for Karachi University in Pakistan, Canakkale OnsekizMart University in Turkey and Kazakh–British Technical University in Kazakhstan.
