About Afsin Niger
Afsin is a highly motivated individual with a track record of social activities in Bangladesh. She has four children who have all successfully completed their higher education and hold prestigious career positions. Afsin has studied in Sylhet Government Women College and completed BA in 1983. She has also been a very active student union sectary. Afsin is the proud proprietor of Nidhi’s Collection, a boutique house for ladies fashion in Dhaka. She is very passionate about inspiring and working for the empowerment of women and entrepreneurship. Throughout her social work she has undertaken key trainings from the ‘International Labour Organisation’ ILO and several other training institutes to support her business and train other new entrepreneurs in Bangladesh. She is always at the forefront to help grow women in business. Afsin also is Assistant Secretary for the Association of Women Entrepreneur (AWE) as well as member of the Sylhet Agrami Prakton Student Association (SAPSA). Her passion for this brings her to becoming a director for the BBCWE.
